CDL Class B Overview

Get your CDL Class B License just in 115 Hours: Drivers will be taught instructions and practical for 115 total clock hours. 35 hours will be classroom lessons. Driving lessons on driving range, streets and highways will amount to 80 hours.

Educational Objectives

Students will understand the importance of the trucking industry, regulations, procedures

Students will have basic understanding of the name, location and functions of the vehicles controls and systems

Student will be able to recognize malfunctions, perform visual searching, identify proper speed management in regards to night driving, extreme driving conditions, and skid control

Students will be proficient in railroad crossings, emergency maneuvers, accident procedures, cargo handling and documentation, trip planning

Course Overview

This program will take 4 weeks to complete

Students will complete the hands-on training to be proficient in the following: parallel parking, straight line backing, offset backing , alley-dock backing, shifting- up-hill and down-hill maneuvering, driving on streets and highways, rail-road crossing, height and weight restrictions, and emergency stopping

Students will complete the required training to identify specific inspections including: pre-trip inspection, under the hood inspection, cabin inspection, and an air brake test
